FEFA LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to support FEFA and our government client in Richland, Washington. This is a full-time, on-site position.

The Director of Nursing provides direct support to the Site Occupational Medical Director (SOMD) by leading all activities within the Occupational Health Services program associated with comprehensive nursing care executed in accordance with clinic procedures and professional nursing standards. This position has supervisory responsibility of operations of the clinic nursing staff and case management, nursing quality assurance (QA) functions plus carrying out infection control.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary starting at $200,000 + (annual salary range is based on multiple factors that include, but not limited to, education, work experience, qualifications, market rate, internal equity, budgetary allowances, etc.)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Provide leadership, administrative and management support for the Occupational Nursing and Clinic Services organizations.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and integrating the operations of both organizations.
  • Provide support to the SOMD to ensure the success and compliance of the contract at clinic.
  • Coordinate and plan the activities of a specialized team of nurses, medical assistants and technologists to provide a full range of occupational health services and high-quality patient care.
  • Plan and execute processes to obtain and maintain the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) accreditation for medical services.
  • Responsible for hiring, supervision, productivity, training and mentoring of the nursing and administrative staff.
  • Prepare staff performance evaluations and make recommendations for salary adjustments.
  • Ensure the development of nursing and administrative staff through the implementation of logically developed goals, objectives and strategic plans.
  • Monitor and analyze costs and prepare budget inputs for functional areas within the clinic.
  • Ensure appropriate fiscal management by tracking and controlling expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
  • Evaluate program, policies, procedures and practices to ensure they are accomplishing functional area objectives.
  • Make recommendations and implement changes for improvement in areas of need.
  • Oversee training programs/process to verify required training, licensure, certification and continuing education of all nursing and administrative/support staff.
  • Direct the annual influenza immunization and blood pressure screening programs/events.
  • Determine proper action for medical emergencies within the scope of nursing practice.
  • Assess and perform advanced cardiac life support and treatment in accordance with the latest standards.

Requirements

  • Current valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
  • Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Minimum of five years nursing supervisor experience in an occupational health setting of similar complexity
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards, risk management principles and practice and quality improvement processes.
  • Knowledge and application of laws and regulations governing health information (i.e., Privacy Act of 1974, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain appropriately private and confidential information
  • Good analytical skills, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and standard office software including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in contract management and execution
  • Experience in leading a clinical element supporting organizational achievement of accreditation by a national accreditation body
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school
  • A Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) or a relevant field, and/or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Public Health (MPH)
  • Must be able to meet the requirements for obtaining an L Security Clearance for DOE
  • U.S. Citizenship (required)
