In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. ***This position will be in Kansas City, MO***

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Directs manufacturing as well as broader enterprise-wide or impacting activities in multiple operational geographic regions.
  • Oversees broad manufacturing assignments that require extensive knowledge of operations, HSE, project management, material planning, facilities, HOS, and lean principles as they are applicable to manufacturing areas across the business.
  • Integrates business technology planning with business strategies to meet customer and corporate goals.
  • Oversees strategies and spend contract compliance.
  • Oversees administration of NNSA objectives.
  • Leads effective cross business supply chain communications and/or project teams (Defense programs, Global Security, reimbursable). May act as a direct customer interface on assigned projects.
  • Leads the business to ensure corporate and plant metrics are met; analyzes, interprets and applies this knowledge to solve variety of manufacturing related business issues. Directs new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements within the division to assure cost-effective operations.
  • Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

You Must Have:
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience, two (2) years managing people
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Integrated Supply Chain, or Technical Field
  • 8+ years in Six Sigma and related continuous improvement activities applied in a technical, scientific and/or manufacturing environment
  • Security Clearance: US citizenship to obtain US Dept. of Energy "Q" level security clearance

  • Understanding of team building and group dynamics including conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Advanced technical or business degree
