The Director of Field Reimbursement for reagent kitted solutions will work with the Labcorp Oncology market access, payor solutions, marketing, and sales teams to provide strategic insight for the oncology therapeutic area covering Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx) products and services. This individual must exhibit exceptional organizational skills and knowledge of coding, coverage, and reimbursement in all settings of care. This person is customer-facing and will leverage his or her expertise and experience to assist customers in understanding and addressing access and reimbursement challenges. He or she will conduct presentations to small and large groups in various settings and often work face to face with labs and providers - educating staff on access services and solutions specific to reagent kitted products.
Labcorp offers these services to help our customers improve access in the dynamic health care environment. The Director of Field Reimbursement must regularly monitor the changes to nationwide and regional coverage and policy, as he or she serves as an expert in this area. Additionally, this role will support PGDx’s business imperatives by (i) focusing on product’s pre-launch activities, such as building relationships with internal and external customers, and (ii) providing insight into the development and successful execution of government and private payer market access.
As a core member of the PGDx team, the Director of Field Reimbursement will have responsibility to assist in building the commercial capability and infrastructure to successfully launch diagnostic tests and provide market intelligence. This position requires a strategic individual with previous hands-on experience and expertise with both pre-launch and post-launch activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain market intelligence on the evolution of reimbursement and coverage of precision oncology assays in the marketplace. Monitor external environment and ensure timely stakeholder (both internal and customer-facing) communications.
- Assess changes and protocols occurring in the future that will have impact on the Labcorp Oncology and/or PGDx portfolio and provide insight on any changes on our relationships with customers.
- Identify customer insights and assist in developing strategies to address challenges of clients implementing Labcorp IVD/precision oncology solutions.
- Collaborate with market access team to develop and execute strategies to engage providers in evidence generation to drive policy improvement for PGDx kitted solutions.
- Provide provider feedback to support the development of payer dossiers and accompanying economic models that will be required for effective payer policies.
- Support Labcorp market access teams regarding strategies to improve coverage for PGDx kitted solutions, including collaborating with market access team to develop and execute strategies to engage providers in evidence generation to drive policy improvement for PGDx kitted solutions.
- Serve as subject matter expert regarding existing clinical and economic evidence to support product positioning and articulate to potential customers.
- Support Labcorp market access teams regarding strategies to improve coverage for PGDx kitted solutions.
- Assist cross-functional teams to prepare for critical commercial payer meetings and provider (Hospital, Integrated Delivery Network) meetings.
- Collaborate with internal market access personnel, marketing, sales management, clinical, regulatory and product development teams to ensure a unified strategy is executed effectively throughout the business.
- Engage with customers remotely and in person. Up to 40% travel may be required.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience with U.S. market access conditions and health policy trends.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibilities and demonstrated experience with field reimbursement, as well as Medicare local contractors and commercial payers in successfully establishing coding, coverage and payment for products.
- Candidate must have 3-5 years oncology experience and an excellent understanding of issues surrounding the access, reimbursement and coverage of precision oncology diagnostics by Medicare and commercial payers.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in business or life science discipline.
- Master’s degree in business, health care administration or public health preferred.
