Description: Summary
At the corporate level, and in support of the all divisional workflows, plan, direct and manage the overall application development functions of the organization including print/web programming, composition, project development, and associated estimating/costing interests. Establish and communicate programming, system operation and maintenance policies and procedures. Research and recommend the purchase and implementation of new hardware and software systems. Implement new or modified methods, approaches and innovations to enhance the organization's information systems effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Workflow and development solutions architecture
- Oversees development supervisors and staff
- Oversight of department schedule and workflow
- Overall accountability to company and departmental interests
- Maintains working knowledge of client programming methodologies and current technology
- Oversight of product deliverables structure, quality assurance standards and budgetary interests
- Provides oversight of client development projects to ensure product standards are met within budgeted resource commitments
- Identify and provide training path in support of company and department needs, user software tools, and overall adherence to current technologies
- Improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

- Familiarity of technologies, including:
o VB.NET, C#, SQL, HTML, ASP.NET, TCP/IP (Applications Networking) Web Services
o Various composition tools, document workflow technologies
- Experience in architecting workflows and solutions using relevant technology
- Ability to understand and provide direction on improvements to existing production workflows and development systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thoroughly document programming process.
- Ability to explain complicated systems and workflows to technical and non-technical personnel, vendors and customers.
- Strong teaching and mentoring abilities.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong attention to detail
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversight of the development department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities also assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints. Ability to create procedure manuals that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,835.00 - $120,000.00 per year
