To help us work toward our purpose and further accelerate our trajectory, we are recruiting a Director of Accounting and Information Systems to join our team. This individual will report directly to the President; will be a key player through our next stage of growth, expansion, and scaling; and will be chiefly accountable for accounting, financial reporting, strategic + operational insights, and forecasting; all in an effort to support our entrepreneurial, problem-solving team.

This is a full-time position working on-site at our headquarters in the Johnson City, TN area, alongside a growing team of approximately 25 engineers, quality control, sales, and administrative team members. We expect the annual salary compensation to be between $150,000-$200,000, depending on experience, skills, and cultural fit. Additionally, health insurance, profit-share, paid time off, and relocation assistance are also available.

This role will be a synthesis of the following responsibilities and tasks:

• Collaborate with the leadership team to:
  • Enhance our collective analytical rigor, financial precision, business judgment, disciplined decision-making, and investor’s mindset.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Grow and enhance our existing culture of compliance, safety, ethical behavior, and good judgment.

• Track, analyze, and organize our costs and expenses, and regularly communicate your findings, concerns, and solutions to our team.
• Oversee the inventory cost accounting function with a focus on control implementation and process improvement, including automation and results analysis to support scale, growth, and improved profitability.
• Manage and execute the nuts-and-bolts of the financial side of our business, including payroll, AP, and AR, as well as accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing process and financial reporting.
• Build, implement, and enforce sensible internal controls, best practices, and procedures.
• Support colleagues across the organization on financial issues impacting their areas of accountability.
