The Director of Information Technology Infrastructure/Operations role is actively engaged in managing the daily IT operations to ensure the availability, integrity and accessibility of all IT systems and infrastructure, including networking and telecommunications systems, servers, and storage applications, as well as data center management.
This position provides management, leadership, motivation, and development of the IT Infrastructure team. In addition, the position analyzes present technologies in order to evaluate the feasibility of such technology for current and future growth and proactively makes recommendations for technology operation improvements. along with managing the technology service desk and interacting with third party vendors This role provides hybrid remote options, however, some of the work is required to be completed at our Headquarters in Richardson, TX.

Major Duties and Essential Functions*
1) Manages and overses the operations of information technology including service-desk, desktop support, network systems operations (systems and telecom), data centers, operating systems and hardware environments.
2) Develops and maintains a long-term technology plan. Participates in developing department budgets and maintains relationships with our strategic software and hardware vendors and service providers.
3) Manages and oversees the design, planning, implementation and maintenance of the infrastructure, ensuring that the systems provide the upmost efficiency and availability in support of the organization’s goals and strategies.
4) Identifies appropriate partners and consultants capable of performing infrastructure health checks providing a current, well-managed operating environment for production processing and application development.
5) Plans and implements security measures and preventive maintenance schedules; monitor and report on performance and usage.
6) Develops, reviews, modifies and implements standards and procedures for all facets of technology operations.
7) Oversees and leads routine infrastructure processes, including configuration management reviews, hardening efforts, and remediation efforts to ensure compliance.
8) Ensures daily system monitoring is performed, verifying the integrity and availability of all IT business services, systems and key processes, current patch levels, reviewing system and application logs, daily batch processing is completed, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
9) Ensures daily backup operations are in alignment with business needs, ensuring all required file systems and system data are protected in appropriate off-site locations.
10) Implements and manages the team to service level expectations.
11) Hands-on technical depth enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation for complex system implementations, system upgrades and operational incident and problem troubleshooting.
12) Works closely with the Information Security Officer in the prioritization of remediation of vulnerability scan results and analysis of system security and collaborates to constantly improve our IDS/IPS systems.
13) Manages the disaster recovery testing on a regular, ongoing basis for the entire technology infrastructure to ensure the prompt and continued delivery of all the organization’s Tier One systems, applications and services.
14) Participates in all internal and external audits, guaranteeing that all documentation and materials are accurate, current, and readily available. Ensure prompt and thorough response to and remediation of all findings and recommendations.
15) Oversees teams that are responsible for day to day operating needs and participate in providing ongoing management of service level compliance.
16) Fosters a positive and engaging work environment for each team member by promoting skill development, coaching for improvement and growth, regular one-on-one meetings and embracing our mission, vision and core values.
17) Provides technical direction and assists in troubleshooting and resolving problems and ensures staff is monitoring alarms and alerts on equipment and ensures maximum uptime
18) Reviews daily security monitoring, to include review and remediation of critical issues.
19) Schedules, coordinates and communicates repairs and upgrades to equipment with vendors and users.
20) Maintains on-call availability by pager or cell on a 24x7 basis. Work non-standard work hours and other shifts as needs dictate.
21) Manages the on-call status for all engineers and track on-call response time and resolutions.
22) Other duties as assigned.

Education*: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or 10-15 years of comparable experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of related experience and training in telecommunications, VMware, LAN/WAN networking, systems administration and IT security.

- Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure operations to include a good knowledge of IT best practices, industry trends and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of the full range of network, infrastructure and telecommunications systems required.
- Working knowledge of IT processes and procedures, including system backups, business continuity, disaster recovery, asset management, audits, and compliance.
- Working knowledge of IT security measures and best practices required to protect and maintain corporate networks.
- Working knowledge of IT Service Desk and Operations activities, including customer service and communications.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $192,586.79 per year
