SUMMARY

The Director, Fleet & Mobility, under the direction of the Sr. Vice President of Marketing & Vehicle Supply will be responsible for the overall performance of the fleet/mobility/rental operations with respect to Fleet and Mobility Sales throughout the Gulf States Toyota (GST) Region. The Director will collaborate and work with existing functional areas and TMNA to establish value added service including dealer focused projects in the MaaS space (fleet mgmt., subscription, fractional use). The Director will also be responsible for creating performance measurements and providing periodic progress updates as required.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, motivate, reward and develop the Fleet Sales / Operations team with emphasis on:
    • Developing a sales focused team, maximizing Toyota & GST sales volume and market share in the Fleet & Mobility markets.
    • Managing the performance of team members against business plan by setting, communicating, monitoring and updating goals as needed for key performance indicators on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Analyze existing markets and business opportunities; then assure the creation and development of Fleet/Mobility standards, goals, and plans for the GST market area.
  • Develop, manage, re-forecast and execute the Fleet/Mobility business plan
  • Own and optimize the P&L for a wide geographic region
  • Report Fleet & Mobility performance, analyze opportunities and present recommended actions to assigned dealers, GST management and field.
  • Seek out revenue producing and cost saving opportunities to increase the financial contribution of Fleet.
  • Identify and collaborate with additional Connected & Electrified partners for future strategic opportunities.
  • Assure departmental collaboration with the GST field team on Fleet and Mobility business and related opportunities.
  • Assure a successful partnership with TMNA Mobility & Connected groups to drive participation and penetration of various initiatives in the GST footprint.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, researching and analyzing new business opportunities, developing process based value propositions and service offerings for GST dealers & fleet/rental customers
  • Conduct and coordinate effective communications with internal & external stakeholders
  • Develop a performance measurement process and ensure timely reporting on pilot initiatives
  • Integrate product / service enhancements into existing GST fleet operations
  • Create and deliver fleet communications for market implementation and expansion
  • Provide internal & external training & development as required
  • Identify and drive strategic opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies by developing, implementing and communicating operating plans to maximize fleet/mobility utilization
  • Partner and collaborate with the key fleet, field operations and other leaders to meet business objectives
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
  • Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises one or more employees. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience requirements:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; 12+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership, team building, action planning and coordination skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to relate across different departments & personality types
  • Ability to quickly analyze key Fleet data and convert it into meaningful recommendations or actions
  • A relentless pursuit of teamwork and camaraderie amongst GST Vehicle Supply, Fixed Operation and GST Field Teams
  • Ability to interface with executive level management (TMNA/GST/3rd Party)
  • Demonstrated background in launching and owning initiatives
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fleet, rental or automotive industry

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job requires significant domestic travel (up to 50% of the time). As a result, the duties for this position occur in various places including, but not limited to an office environment, car dealerships, and semi-industrial settings. The associate will regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level for this position will vary and the associate may be exposed to loud noise levels.
