POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Commercial Operations is responsible for managing day deals, rack deals, arbitrage opportunities, government bids, program sales and the DTN Marketplace.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Secure Day Deal pricing from suppliers each day and coordinate with the sales team based on their needs
• Secure Rack Deals monthly and coordinate with sales based on allocations how the product will be lifted and by whom
• Identify arbitrage opportunities between regions and utilize our existing inventory position, rack position and freight to capture
• Identify government bids via WINGOV and coordinate supply to support it
• Promote and support program sales with the sales team and current customer base
• Manage all existing and new throughput agreements with vendors
• Build out DTN Marketplace by getting customers on the platform and educated on how to use it to their advantage
• Leverage DTN, Day Deals, Rack Deals and Arbitrage to improve our price discovery by region and better determine market trends.
• Manage nightly direction and rack differentials based on market intel derived above
• Work with IT and Sales team to implement our new pricing project

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Marketing, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum of three (3) years sales experience within the energy industry commercial and industrial commodity sales.
• Excellent communication skills demonstrating the ability to listen to others, express ideas both orally and in writing and provide relevant and timely information to clients, managers, etc.
• Ability to work independently, within tightly controlled business policies and processes, reporting requirements, and behavioral principles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: while obtaining assigned growth and margin targets.
• In depth knowledge of the petroleum industry preferred.
