Day shift 40 hrs/wk
Due to growth, our client is seeking an experienced leader for their Emergency Department. Their 20 bed ED is a designated primary stroke service located in the seaside town of Newburyport, MA. The Director of the Emergency Department will assume 24-hour responsibility for their rapidly growing department that currently treats over 30,000 patient annually.
In this role, you will:
- Plan, organize, and control the operation of the department with the support of the department nurse manager
- Provide support and guidance to 75 team members which include RNs, Patient Care Techs, Unit Coordinators, etc.
- Develop budgets that demonstrate industry benchmark standards in productivity and performance
- Conduct staff performance appraisals and identify goals and objectives to ensure professional growth and development of team members
- Identify opportunities for improvement in patient satisfaction, staff development, and fiscal management.
