• WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING DSPs FOR PART-TIME AND FULL-TIME POSITIONS. PRIOR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. MOST OF OUR CLIENTS ARE IN THE HAMILTON COUNTRY AREA, POTENTIAL STAFF WILL TRAVEL BETWEEN THE HOUSES WHERE NEEDED. MESSAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

House 1:

Monday-Friday 3p-11p (5 days available)

Saturday and Sunday 3p-11p (2 days available)

Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am (5 days available)

ALL HOUSES: NEED AN ON-CALL PRN TO PICK UP SHIFTS AS WE NEED TO FILL GAPS/CALL OFFS INLUDING HOLIDAYS.

We are looking for a dedicated Direct Care/Home Health Aide to assist developmentally disabled clients. Your duties will include performing housekeeping tasks, assisting clients with meals, and taking care of their personal hygiene needs. Your duties may also include, but are not limited to, running errands.

To be successful as part of the Stellar Home Care family, you should possess knowledge of best practices in providing care and experience in a similar role. Ultimately, an outstanding Direct Care/Home Health Aide will be someone who can be entrusted with the wellbeing of clients and demonstrates a caring approach.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Providing clients with assistance, company, and comfort.
• Administering medicine and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitoring the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients and reporting changes to designated parties.
• Performing housekeeping and personal hygiene care duties, including bathroom visit support.
• Toileting, including changing attends and catheter bags, as well as showering clients to maintain hygiene needs. Not all clients are able to shower themselves and require compassion and full assistance.
• Preparing meals and assisting clients with eating and drinking.
• Running errands, including shopping for groceries and basic household items.
• Assisting clients from their beds into chairs or wheelchairs, and back.
• Accompanying clients on trips, such as medical appointments.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe environment.
• Book keeping and maintaining house books and logs during shifts.

Skills:

• High school diploma or GED. (If applicable)
• A minimum of at least 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Extensive knowledge of best practices in the provision of direct care.
• Exceptional ability to assist clients with mobility, personal care, and hygiene needs.
• Ability to perform basic housekeeping duties, run errands, and prepare meals.
• Advanced ability to maintain a clean and sterile environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and caring approach.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Availability to fulfill the requirement to work a minimum of one weekend per month.
