Working together with staff, the Direct Services Team Leader assists in creating just communities with the purpose of improving the quality of life of the individuals and staff they serve.

Those who want to be part of the YWCA’s leadership team often possess a bachelor’s degree in business or non-profit management within human services or related field, like social work, criminal justice, women’s studies, or psychology. An equivalent combination of education and similar work experience will also be considered. The Direct Services Team Leader is expected to be operationally and technically skilled in all aspects of team leadership, including scheduling, performance management, coaching and documentation, skill development, and providing feedback.

Qualified candidates possess a strong history of successful leadership or supervisory experience along with problem-solving and decision-making skills often within a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, de-escalation skills, patience, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and time management skills are also essential for this role within the YWCA Greater Harrisburg.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
