Our Nexus Family Healing Home Office team is looking for a Digital Media Specialist to join us!

Position Summary:

Our Digital Media Specialist is responsible for managing all social media platforms and accounts, paid digital advertising campaigns, and maintaining the organization’s website while implementing social strategies to lift and drive conversations and engagement. This individual is responsible for establishing a centralized content calendar, creating, and managing the organization’s blog, updating website content, and actively representing the organization in the digital space.

Primary responsibilities:

Digital & Social Media Content Creation

  • Executes all aspects of the organization’s digital media content and content calendar
  • Writes and designs daily social media posts for the organization’s social media accounts based on communications strategies, individual platforms, and is consistent with Nexus’ brand, mission, and values
  • Stays current on conversations, hashtags, and topics that may be evolving and taking place internally and externally; discerns how to join or add value to these ‘conversations’ by creating valuable content

Agency Best Practices

  • Collaborates with marketing and communication teams and leadership to grow followership and drive social media engagement
  • Discerns what content of topics should be elevated for approval prior to posting; maintains an awareness surrounding important social conversations and what questions to ask relating to these topics

Website Management

  • Provides the care and feeding for Nexus’ website content
  • Actively manages the website to ensure most accurate information is reflected

Digital Data and Decision Making

  • Discerns which website and social media metrics are crucial to the organization’s exposure and growth; implements reporting mechanisms that produce reliable data
  • Executes reports on a consistent regular basis and shares key data and recommendations for improvement with key stakeholders
  • Stays apprised of digital conversations and our response and understands the best use of different digital platforms
  • Maintains general understanding of budgets relating to campaigns and how to best allocate monies for purposes of content creation, campaigns, and ads

Cross functional partnership

  • Provides occasional support for photography and videography needs. Offers occasional support to Marketing and Communication team members as needed
  • Takes initiative to learn, grow and understand potential new skills and demonstrates an eager and willing attitude to assist the team

Required Education and Licensure:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements

Nice to Have:

  • 3 years of digital marketing and social media experience
  • Experience in WordPress, Drupal or other CMS solutions
  • Experience in Photoshop, Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, and video editing
