Dietary Aide/Cook

Full Time - East Liberty, PA

Highland Park Care Center is a comprehensive skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing high-quality whole-patient care. Through its comprehensive onsite services including cardiac, orthopedic, wound and memory support, Highland Park has come to revolutionize senior care in Allegheny County, helping its clients maximize their health, well-being and overall quality of life during these critical elder years. This fast-growing center seeks a Full Time Dietary Aide/Cook to join its fast-paced dietary services unit. The Dietary Aide/Cook will assist in food and tray preparation, help with service and perform a number of kitchen/dining room tasks, as assigned.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Preparing high quality, nutritious food, as directed by the daily production sheet
• Serving hot foods on tray lines
• Checking special diet trays for accuracy
• Cleaning & sanitizing the kitchen, equipment and food service spaces, as instructed
• Ensuring minimal food waste, in both preparation, service and consumption
• Ensuring safe operation of kitchen and food service equipment
• Assisting in food/tray preparation, as directed
• Assisting with food truck deliveries
• Serving food to residents based on specific menus
• Additional responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Vaccination from Covid-19 is a condition for hiring, except where a bona fide religious or medical exemption is submitted. Candidate must be able to provide driver's license or personal identification card at time of interview and must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
