Shiloh Assisted Living is seeking Dietary Cooks for full-time positions.

Cook Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Plan, prepare, cook and serve meals and snacks to residents, and when appropriate their family members or visitors.
• Strictly adhere to sanitary guidelines, includes monitoring of food temperatures and cleaning of the kitchen and all cookware, dishes, etc.
• Ensure the nutritional needs of the residents are met, including special diet restrictions
• Demonstrate a sincere interest in the quality of meals being served to residents and guests.
• Help organize and host community events such as family picnics, cookouts, holiday dinners, community coffee, etc.
• Maintain good relationships with residents, family members, community guests, co-workers, etc.

Cook Job Qualifications:

• Ability to read and follow recipes, labels, policies and procedures.
• Ability to write and make simple calculations.
• ServSafe certification, or agreement to complete certification at the next possible opportunity.
• Must have a desire to work with seniors.
• Requires level of knowledge normally required in the course of obtaining a high school diploma.
• Work effectively with general supervision, ability to organize and manage own work load in a busy environment. Some independent actions are required.
• Ability to communicate well with residents and families promoting customer service and respect.
• Meet the physical job demands of the position.

Experience: Prior commercial cooking experience is preferred, but not required.

Shift Available: 7am - 5:30pm

Shiloh Assisted Living is located in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. Our assisted living apartments each feature a kitchenette and cozy living area. They include a full bathroom with shower and are available in one-bedroom floor plans. Our memory care community provides all the comforts of home in a safe and secure surrounding. Each wing contains four private rooms, has a shared living space and a roll-in (Euro) bathroom.

Salary: $15.50 to $16.70 /hour
