Job Title: Universal Dietary Aide

Department: Dietary

Reports To: Food Service Director

FLSA status: Non-Exempt

Responsible for providing quality meals and maintaining standards of kitchen cleanliness.

Duties and Responsibilities Include The Following

  • Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the direction of the Cook or Dinning Services Manager
  • Insures preparation, portioning, and serving of the foods according to standardized recipes and menus.
  • Prepares quality food products according to standardized recipes and menus. 4. Prepares food in a timely manner, at specified meal times.
  • Assembles and services food.
  • Follows departmental procedures including sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
  • Properly washes and stores all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Labels and dates all food products in the refrigerator, freezer, and food storage areas.
  • Properly disposes of refuse.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents, residents’ families, and other employees of the company.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common since understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

State Food Service Certification required, if applicable

New Hires will receive a $500 Signing Bonus after 90 days of employment. Employees that do not miss a shift will receive a $100 per quarter.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Attendance bonus
  • Signing bonus

Covid Precautions include but are not limited to: Staff wear masks while clocked in, Regular cleaning and sanitization of facility, Systematic covid testing on-site of residents and employees
