Position Summary:
Oversight of Engineered Valves (EV) diaphragm product line and diaphragm quality programs, including management of vender base, compliance to applicable industry standards, coordination of customer communications, and identification of new product opportunities.

Oversee diaphragm vender base to assure compliance to EV Valves technical, quality, and testing specifications.

Negotiate supply agreements and change notice guidelines with venders to assure all commercial requirements are met.

Identify, develop, and qualify new venders including risk management assessments.

Determine regulatory compliance requirements for diaphragms and work with EV Engineering to implement changes to products and coordinate changes with venders. Focus is mainly on BioPharm market compliance but could include other served markets for EV.

Assist customers, Sales, Product Engineering and Quality Assurance with product troubleshooting.

Oversee company RMA process for diaphragms and coordinate communication of product issues and product changes with EV customer base.

Collaborate with EV Engineering on diaphragm failures to determine root cause and implement correction actions.

Maintain product line literature and technical manuals relative to diaphragm portfolio.

Identify new product or product modification opportunities and develop business case to support development and commercialization.

Assess product offering and make recommendations for product line rationalization / pruning.

Develop and implement long-term product line and vender strategies in alignment with company growth objectives and presents to management as required.

Write reports to meet management and company period reporting requirements.

Participate in industry organizations applicable to products and global specifications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) in engineering discipline from a four-year college or university and five years of work experience in a related industry is required. Must have excellent communication skills with ability to direct customers while performing field service / training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write marketing collateral, routine reports and customer correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or coworkers of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTING SKILLS
Ability to effectively utilize word processing software and spreadsheets and to navigate and use other custom applications software in an MS Windows environment.

TRAVEL
Travel domestically and internationally to provide sales support, product training, and field service/troubleshooting and writes trip reports on customer meetings and actions. Overall field travel estimated @ < 25%.
