Job description
South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks student applicants for the position of Digital Media Instruction & Classroom Support Technician in the Art department.
Educational Benefit
This position enhances a students education or future career path by providing a working experience in an art studio environment. They will be gaining knowledge of operation of industry equipment, in addition to working with checklists, deadlines, and coordinating with others.
Schedule Information
Hours are flexible throughout the week but prefer schedule to be spread out over a couple of days throughout the week.
Supervisor Information
This position reports directly to the Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 2 in the Art Department
- Maintain film, audio, grip, and lighting equipment.
- Check in and check out film, audio, grip, and lighting equipment to students during Equipment Room check in/check out hours.
- Configure cameras and audio equipment.
- Ongoing cleaning and organization of Equipment Room during the quarter.
- Assist in preparing materials for student use including organizing and prepping any film, audio, grip, or lighting equipment.
- Formatting hard drives and cards.
- Troubleshooting other technical issues either during or outside of instructional times.
- Assist in designing processes and best practices for Equipment Room procedures.
- Familiarity with film/video/digital media production.
- Basic knowledge of cameras, audio, grip, and lighting equipment.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Suite.
- Must be able to work remotely when needed and connect with the instructor via phone, email, or Zoom.
