ClearCom IT Solutions is seeking a qualified Desktop Support Engineer.

This is position requires proficient computer skills with an aptitude for resolving computer hardware and software-related issues.

The desktop support engineer will provide end-user assistance and support and maintain end-users desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance and efficiency.

Responsible for providing technical support, laptop, desktop, printer, and network connectivity issues as well as applications. Install, manage and support various Windows operating systems, applications.

Work in an office team environment. This is NOT a remote or work-from-home position.

Responsibilities and Duties Expand
  • Work daily with remote management software and ticket system to support various hardware and software
  • Escalate issues to Level III & vendor support as needed and follow through to resolution
  • Image new computer hardware in preparation for deployment to end-user, install and update computer software.
  • New End-User setups and email account configuration.
  • Technical Phone support for End-User and Customers
  • Collaboration and escalation within IT team to determine and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical instruction and training to end-users
  • Take ownership and triage cases via helpdesk ticketing system, provide regular updates to users, and manage requests to meet business SLA’s.
  • Server Builds and configure basic server OS or Virtual Machine
  • Any other essential task as assigned
Qualifications and Skills Expand
  • Basic knowledge of Networking LAN/WAN
  • 2+ years’ experience in desktop support or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of installing, testing and maintenance of computer hardware, software, operating systems, peripherals and local and wide area network (LAN/WAN).
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems Win 7/10 & Microsoft Office Suite
  • The physical requirements associated with this job for lifting up to 30 lbs
  • A+, N+ Certification preferred.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Able to build working relationships with coworkers within department. Able to speak and behave in a business manner with our end-users across all functional business areas, both local and remote.
  • Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
