We are hiring for all levels of Electrical Design Engineers! Come join our growing team in Moses Lake, WA. Relocation will be provided, if necessary!

At the Moses Lake facility, we design and produce some of the largest and most advanced aerial access equipment in the world. Joining our team presents a unique opportunity to directly contribute to the concept, design, and development of our Genie branded equipment. Come grow with us!

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Genie, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop and apply reliable engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems.
• Solve complex engineering problems in the following areas:

Microprocessor system control and protection
Software development with graphical programming language
Electro-mechanical sensors and feedback
Hydraulic control and analysis
Electric vehicle drive technology
Electric/Hybrid technology

• Develop new designs from initial concept to implementation and improve existing designs.
• Specify component, software, and machine testing, create procedures, and detail testing processes.
• Work closely with our global design engineering team and sustain a dynamic and creative engineering work atmosphere.
• Research, specify, and test manufactured and purchased parts, working closely with the materials group and suppliers.
• Maintain a focus on design for manufacturability and work closely with the global manufacturing teams and production facilities to assist in product and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• ABET or equivalent accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Spring 2023 graduates are welcome to apply)!
• Ability to work in-person in Moses Lake, WA
• Experience:

Level I position, no relevant engineering experience
Level II positions, 2 years’ relevant experience
Senior Level positions, 5+ years’ relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong orientation towards safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, E3 or similar programs, and PC skills including MS Office products.
• Ability to follow sequenced work associated with complex design tasks.
• Demonstrated technical leadership working within a team. Able to effectively lead project teams and utilize resources to produce optimal results.
• Basic understanding across multiple engineering disciplines and may have advanced understanding in a specific area such as: industrial hydraulics, electrical systems, microprocessor-based controls, electric/hybrid power systems.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $125,000, depending on years of experience and qualifications.
