Job description
Richland County is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Treasurer. Previous experience and knowledge of general accounting and clerical duties is required, as well as basic computer skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the collection and receipting of all funds received from all County departments; assisting in preparation, collection, and settlement of property tax bills; perform general duties to ensure efficient and accurate function of the Treasurer’s Office; and act as the County Treasurer in the Treasurer’s absence. The position is 40 hours per week at a beginning rate of $18.53 per hour with an increase following a 6-month probationary period. This position includes county benefits.
