Job AdvertisementThe City of Keene, New Hampshire is accepting applications for a Deputy Revenue Collector! This position is essential to the Revenue Collection Office and requires a candidate with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail!
Position Summary
The Deputy Revenue Collector provides customer service by performing a variety of tasks relating to the processing and receipting of revenues related to motor vehicle registrations and titles, property tax collections, utilities, and other receivables. This involves providing customer service and processing payments received from over the counter, mail, and web-based transactions.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting office functions including lien and deeding processes, abatements, refunds, daily and monthly end processes of balancing and reporting and associated journal entries as well as supporting the Revenue Collector in completing processes related to property tax invoicing.
Education and Experience
Associate"s degree in Accounting or related field plus one to three years" related experience, including experience in customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service skills, experience and knowledge of state and local laws are desired! Certification through the State of New Hampshire vehicle registration is required within six months of employment and New Hampshire Tax Collector Certification is required within three years. Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is $48,394- $60,306.
