Work Location
Tangible Development is headquartered in Latham, New York with team members who work remotely throughout the US. This role will spend most of the time working remotely with some travel to facilitate in-person meetings and training, as projects require. Travel may be frequent at times.

Position
Tangible Development is looking for a talented DEI practitioner to guide clients through DEI organizational change. As a member of the Service Delivery Team, the DEI Strategist leads clients through multi-phased projects that include climate assessments, DEI strategic planning and implementation, and training. Our DEI Strategists are instrumental in executing Tangible Development’s creative, innovative, and industry-forward ideas and research that put us on the cutting edge of equity and inclusion work.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate has an understanding of organizational change that addresses systemic inequities, implicit bias, cultural safety, identity awareness, navigating conflict, racial justice, and power dynamics through an intersectional lens.

● Experience leading/guiding teams
● Content knowledge expertise in DEI concepts, theories, and historical context
● Training and group facilitation skills with DEI content, including: implicit bias, power dynamics, systemic oppression
● Ability to develop DEI training curriculum content
● Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects with short-term (less than a year) and long-term (more than a year) timelines
● Ability to synthesize organizational culture and climate assessment data into a summary report and propose customized recommendations
● Demonstrated cross-cultural competencies, including strong emotional intelligence and the ability to engage and build relationships
● Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and work effectively with clients, senior leadership teams, and others across various types of organizations
● Ability to organize and prioritize work in dynamic and complex environments to meet deadlines and daily requirements
● Strong time management skills

● Administrative and programmatic experience including strategic planning, developing a task force or project team when necessary, and experience working within a budget

● Demonstrated ability to research, identify, and collaboratively implement best practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice

● Administrative skills in Google Drive or Microsoft Office, slide deck or PowerPoint editing, word processing or typing, and proven ability to use computer software programs to stay organized

Minimum Education/Experience
Minimum 7 years direct experience with DEI strategy, leadership development, curriculum development, research, and group facilitation experience

OR
Bachelor’s degree in cultural studies, ethnic studies, social services, sociology, psychology, organizational development, behavioral sciences, business, or human resources-related fields, and a preferred minimum 5 years experience working in DEI-specific work

OR
Master’s degree in related fields and minimum 3 years of direct DEI experience

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Director of
Operations & Innovation.

Regular Work Hours
Tangible Development has team members and clients in different time zones. Most of our work takes place from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM ET Monday through Friday. Some early morning, evening, or night time work will be required to meet client needs.
