Overview

The Negotiator is responsible for reaching the best possible settlements of clients’ enrolled debts, allowing for the scheduling and processing of all fees.

Responsibilities

• Determines accounts eligible for settlement, based on account delinquency, client draft and trust balance, and clients’ other obligations
• Contacts creditors and/or collectors
• Verifies accuracy of balances, account numbers and delinquency
• Negotiates the most favorable settlement possible
• Ensures that compliance steps are completed (e.g., client authorizes settlement, settlement letter is received and uploaded)
• Stays current on settlement policies of major creditors

Requirements

• At less one year of debit resolution experience
• Familiarity with the basics of consumer borrowing, credit and collections
• Ability to solve problems.
• Proficiency in the CRM.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up.
• A high degree of initiative and independence.
• Spanish speaking a plus
