Center Director Responsibilities:

• Assist with hiring, engage and develop a team of educators to be passionate and committed professionals.
• Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Leverage your business, sales, and marketing savvy to grow Appletree Leaning Center's presence in the community, leading to the growth of new families and children in our centers.

Assistant Director Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of day-to-day activities of our child care center and ensure that local, state, and federal child care requirements are met.
• Oversee the implementation of our curriculum, including developmentally appropriate play and classroom environments.
• Provide informative tours to families looking into suitable child care options.
• Perform administrative duties, enrollment and tours; maintain staff and child files, state licensing maintenance, and regulation/policy compliance.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

• At least one year of solid leadership experience with the ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team.
• A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day and a passion for providing high-quality care and education to children .
• Ability to build relationships with families and staff and create a dynamic environment where play and discovery go hand-in-hand.
• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
• Budget and financial accountability with revenue generation experience preferred.
• NAEYC/NAC and state licensing knowledge preferred.
• Must meet state specific guidelines for the role.
• Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity.
• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or other related field preferred.
• Knowledge of childcare management and early education.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Proficient computer skills in a variety of business related programs, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong administrative, supervisory & leadership skills with a talent for building relationships.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Clarkston, GA 30021: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
