Customer Service Representative


The role of a customer service representative is to provide customer service and administrative support for local sales teams by interacting with customers over the phone, by email or through other means of digital communication.


Job responsibilities include:

  • Accurately and efficiently process customer purchase orders, back orders, credits, return authorizations, quotations, and other sales-related functions. This may be received directly from the customer or delegated by Account Managers or Account Representatives.
  • Take sales orders from customers. Assist customers with product explanations, pricing, availability, and suggest additional/related items that are helpful or required.
  • Provide 2nd Level support for the City Desk, which may include answering phones or assisting walk-in customers. Inquiries may relate to technical product and pricing questions.
  • Maintain a proficient knowledge of our entire e-business platform. Actively promote our digital tools to customers and provide advanced-level support when needed.


Position Requirements:

  • High school Diploma required; one-two years post-secondary education preferred.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC or construction Industries preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal for phone and email communications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn and master new technology.
  • Attention to detail with developed organizational skills and the ability to prioritize urgent tasks
