Sonoma Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Client Service Representative to join our team. Looking for a kind, compassionate, computer savvy team member. This person would love animals and the people who care for them.

We are a busy small practice that not only sees cats and dogs, but all kinds of exotic furry and scaly pets.. This position will be required to work some half days on Saturdays.

The Client Service Representative is the first contact when someone is visiting or calling our hospital. This position is responsible for scheduling appointments, greeting and maintaining hospital flow. Previous experience in a veterinary hospital and experience with a data base management software is preferred. Previous front desk and customer service required. We are looking for a full and/or part time employee.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Welcoming/checking in clients and pets
• Answering multiple phone lines and scheduling appointments
• Discharging patients, invoicing and receiving payments
• Writing treatment plans and empathetically communicate plans to clients
• Managing medical records
• Maintain an appointment schedule, screening emergencies and prioritizing cases accurately
• Filling, dispensing and reviewing some medications and handling over the counter sales
• Filing and front office/reception area maintenance

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Computer knowledge – comfortable with word processing programs, database programs and communication tools like email
• Excellent communication skills
• Be flexible in attitude and work habits
• Ability to multitask while being detail oriented and organized
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Ability to handle stress and pressure with poise, tact and positive attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
