Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Customer Service and Inventory Coordinator. This position is responsible for accurately receiving, processing, and maintaining customer orders while working with the other department team members to ensure alignment of orders, plant supplies, and carrier capabilities. This position also partners with accounting to identify and correct order discrepancies. In addition to customer service this role will be responsible for driving egg inventory accuracy at the five plants. This position will ensure accountability for each site for inventory accuracy. Salary commensurate with experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all customer orders, PO’s, BOL’s, and POD’s are in alignment and sent through for invoicing daily
  • Receiving customer orders, and ensuring accuracy within the ordering and accounting software
  • Help maintain alignment between customers, their orders, the carriers, and the complex shipping out the eggs
  • Help with customer pricing and future business
  • Run and use inventory reports to communicate inventory needs to leadership and to operational staff
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify improvement opportunities and strategies for improvement
  • Monitor and ensure that inventory rotation processes are being followed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Detail oriented and able to enter customer information accurately and efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and communicate effectively via email
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with others including leaders, other team members, and customers

Preferred Qualification: (Education/experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)

  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively speak, read, and write in Spanish
  • 3 plus years of related experience
