Job Summary

The curriculum coordinator is a member of the management team who interfaces with staff, parents, and community. He/she should assist in the implementation, and demonstration of teaching and teaching programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads and embraces the philosophy and concepts of the Kids 'R' Kids Curriculum.
• Organizes and maintains curriculum materials.
• Copies and disseminates curriculum materials to teachers.
• Collects materials/supply lists from teachers; orders/purchases necessary supplies/materials.
• Visits classrooms daily; conducts observations and evaluations.
• Models appropriate delivery of Kids 'R' Kids Curriculum lessons.
• Provides leadership and direction to teachers as it relates to curriculum implementation.
• Assists teachers in recognizing their strengths and weaknesses, goals and potential and provides assistance in helping them become the best teachers they can be.
• Plans and implements staff development activities.
• Develops and implements positive public relations activities for parents and community.
• Reports directly to the center director.
• Coordinates and conducts staff meeting in absence of director.

Qualifications

• Preferred degree in elementary, early childhood education or curriculum and instruction.
• Experience in a licensed preschool center with enrollment upwards of 130 students
• Evidence of leadership or management in past employment.
• Classroom experience, childcare experience, and/or administrative experience.
• Knowledge of teaching principles, practices and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• management in a licensed preschool: 2 years (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
