Delta Apparel, Inc., along with its operating subsidiaries, DTG2Go, LLC, Salt Life, LLC, and M.J. Soffe, LLC, is a vertically-integrated, international apparel company that designs, manufactures, sources, and markets a diverse portfolio of core activewear and lifestyle apparel products under the primary brands of Salt Life, Soffe, and Delta.

Delta Apparel is seeking a Credit/Collections Specialist to join it growing team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review status of past due accounts and initiate collection action by contacting.
• Customers according to the invoice due dates.
• Document and discuss collection attempts with management team.
• Assess risk and obtain management approval to release orders for shipment.
• Reconcile account balances and research discrepancies.
• Provide assistance for all customer requests by telephone and by e-mail.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong Data Entry Skills within a Financial Software program.
• Ability to utilize financial applications within SAP software a plus.
• Math Aptitude with strong organizational skills.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma required.
• Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
• Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment as well as ability to discern when to escalate issues.
• Advanced level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the company.
