Who are we hiring for?

Instant is looking for a motivated and talented Credit Controller who has a proven track record of performing against both cash collection and aged debt targets combined with strong organizational management.

The individual should also be able to deliver administration support to regional team whilst maintaining a strong collection performance. This role will be fast-paced and varied, including raising invoices, banking, ensuring invoices are paid on time, debt is reduced and general liaising with the Senior Credit Controller in US as well as wider finance team in UK.

What will you be responsible for?

• Responsible for chasing the Americas ledger (approx. 200 accounts)
• Working to a monthly cash & aged debt target
• Provide weekly/monthly updates to the Senior Credit Controller in US
• Ensure efficient and timely resolutions of invoice queries, including raising any credit notes that may be required
• Reducing aged debt to ensure no account is older than 60 days
• Recording and banking cheques and ensuring they are deposited in a timely manner
• Maintain regular contact with operators and clients to build relationships
• Consistently reconciling the US debtor accounts
• Responsible for billing for the Americas region across the serviced and digital solution
• Posting cash onto debtor accounts
• Work with the global Credit Control team
• Provide feedback to Management on any issues/improvements that can be made to processes

What are we looking for?

Must have experience of delivering basic financial processes such as;

• Billing, Credit control & Aged debt reductions
• Reconciling invoices with payments received
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
• Ideally would have experience working in an international business and basic understanding of withholding taxes.

This role involves having the following key skills and competencies, namely:

• Educated to Degree level
• Ability to speak Spanish (desirable but not essential)
• Strong individual with previous experience in a finance role
• Strong organization and prioritizing with a high level of administration ability
• Ability to maintain an articulate and professional manner always, including when on the phone, in the office and externally.
• Proficient CRM user
• Self-motivated and driven with a positive attitude
• Business focused and a forward thinker
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative to get the job done and achieve the best results
• Ability to work within a competitive environment whilst supporting colleagues and offering advice and help
• Naturally inquisitive
