Crane Driver/CDL-A - TRENCH SAFETY DIVISION
Job description
Must possess and maintain a Class A CDL License
Possess or ability to obtain NCCCO certification for knuckle boom cranes
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Must possess a current DOT medical card
Must possess and maintain a good driving record
Must be willing to work extended hours and occasionally on weekends
Must possess customer relation skills
Must be knowledgeable of the geographical layout of the area and be able to read maps
Be able to frequently lift 25 to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift 90 lbs
Load, unload and transport equipment to and from customer jobsites using various trucks. Including knuckle boom flat bed, semi, and trailer trucks.
- Which to include, but not limited to, assembly, testing, and inspection of equipment, power washing, inventory control and various yard duties.
- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 90 pounds
Secure loaded equipment per DOT regulations and company procedures
Communicate via two-way radio with dispatch to receive tasks, give current location, and update dispatch with current status
Maintain customer relations by consistently being courteous, professional and helpful. Drivers are considered an extension of sales.
Ensure the equipment being delivered is in proper and in safe working condition
Instruct customers in the proper and safe use of equipment and demonstrate operation
Review rental contracts to ensure the right equipment goes out and that the customer receive exactly what they ordered
Secure customer signatures on all deliveries, exchanges, moves and return paperwork
