Job description

The Courier/Sample Tech is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of environmental samples from multiple clients in the Albany area. Maintain the quality, hold time, and turnaround time objectives of the lab. Prepare and ship containers following the standard operating procedures. Time is split between Courier role and Sample Technician role. 50% each.

Courier duties:

· Ability to read maps and follow directions

· Ability to operate a motor vehicle

· Ability to prioritize

· Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

· Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Sample Tech duties:

· Prepping sampling kits for clients

· Receiving coolers of samples from clients

· Packaging sample containers to be shipped to laboratories

· Shipping using FedEx office

· Scanning paperwork into computer for tracking purposes

· Receiving packages from shipping companies

· Maintaining cleanliness of office/courier van

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

Valid US drivers license

Computer skills

Ability to work with clients and to provide quality customer service

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
