Job description
We're looking for an enthusiastic County Admin Support Specialist II performs paraprofessional accounting duties which may include account management, posting, updating, reconciling, auditing and preparing summary financial and statistical reports. Administers EBT card issuance program and provides customer service for SNAP clients.
The County Admin Support Specialist II maintains General Funds and Client Trust Fund accounts. Prepares deposit slips for daily bank deposits for all account funds received. Responsible for disbursements of funds, vouchers, and receipts from agency-maintained accounts. Keeps a monthly trial balance. Monitors account balances and deposits. General funds include, SSBG, Human Services, TANF (FI) Support Services, Initial Clothing Allowances, and any funds received from state, county, and private donations for Orangeburg County DSS.
Deposits and accurately posts all ES SNAP and TANF fraud payments received. Forwards deposit slips and receipts to appropriate agency personnel.
Orders, issues, and reconciles expedited EBT inventory, and maintain inventory in secure location. Researches EBT cards and accounts in EPPIC. Assists clients with ordering lost, stolen, and damaged EBT cards. Assists elderly and disabled clients via telephone with pining EBT cards.
Assists with maintenance and distribution of agency's office supplies and office equipment.
Opens and distributes incoming mail. Assists with transporting and retrieval of agency mail to local post office. Scans SNAP/TANF incoming mail and faxes into SCOSA..
Registers applications/reapplications/re-determinations/re-certifications/semi-annual re-certifications and assigns appropriately using SCOSA/SCWINS.
Will be required to perform Red Cross shelter/emergency response duties as directed.

A High School Diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience.
Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words per minute.
Knowledge of grammatical rules, spelling, and clerical formats. Knowledge of office management policies and working knowledge of standard office equipment. Ability to coordinate and work well with others. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
