Job Summary: This position supports the general operations The Smiling Dog Cafe in a variety of tasks to help the day to day pace. The café counterperson is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the café area is maintained and fulfills the Health Department’s regulations and expectations. This job is part time, however we have someone out right now that will allow for extra hours through most of the summer. Must be available to work early mornings and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

• Take customer orders in a timely and efficient fashion
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Assisting with collecting payment from customer
• Assist with sandwich making, food preparation, baking, and espresso/coffee
• Understand and abide by Health Department regulations and expectations
• Bus tables and ensure the café is clean and well presented at all times

Skills Required:

• To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.

• Some previous restaurant experience is preferred
