General Summary of Job Duties:

Count Team Members are responsible for the proper collection, verification, and reconciliation of unverified coins and currency in a safe, compliant, timely, and friendly manner. Requires demonstrated ability and knowledge in the areas of office machines for the purpose of processing monies and verifying dollar amounts. Position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, the ability to operate count machines, and the ability to work in small teams. Qualified candidates will possess the demonstrated ability to calculate and verify monetary denominations and maintain accountability and security for all monies and keys within their control. Will perform all duties in compliance with Silverton and Nevada State Gaming Control Board regulations. Requires 6 months of previous cash handling experience. Also requires the ability to lift, bend, carry, push and pull objects, as well as the ability to stand and/or walk for long periods.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

• Is responsible for collecting, counting, posting and all Coins, Currency, and ticket revenues from all assigned sources and transfers verified funds to the Cage.
• Accurately count, verify, total and enter monies from revenue departments with assigned documents and/or equipment.
• Count, straps, and bundle verified currency through the use of assigned equipment by the supervisory team.
• Counts and wraps verified coins through the use of assigned equipment by the supervisory team.
• Maintains accountability and security of all monies and keys within his/her control.
• Performs basic routine maintenance of assigned equipment and report problems to their supervisor.
• Transports unverified monies to the Count Room. These duties require the ability to lift 50 lbs., bending, pushing and carrying of objects.
• Performs all duties in compliance with Silverton Rules, Policies, Procedures, Internal Controls and State Gaming Control Board Regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

Skills, Education & Other Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to calculate and verify monetary denominations.
• Demonstrated ability to operate count and input equipment.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Physical capabilities to meet the requirements of the job.
• Demonstrated ability to work in small teams.
• Good organizational skills.
