Responsible for all aspects of the Count/Drop Area of the Finance Department, such as gaming machine drops, handling table games drops, table game fills, credit reconciliations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, federal and state laws governing monetary transactions and property policies, procedures and controls.

  • Assists the Cage Manager with the coordination and supervision of the activities of all Count/Drop team members on property.
  • Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, as well as policies, procedures and controls which pertain to the count room and receiving (including dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and maintenance items and food and beverage specifications).
  • Ensures adequate staffing levels in both the Count Room by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining and terminating employees, as needed.
  • Ensures the integrity of all Count Room transactions.
  • Assists in table games’ drops, counting money and reconciling gaming revenue.
  • Ensures all inventories are kept in an organized and logical manner
  • Compiles statistical data for reporting purposes in the Count Room
  • Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork for the Count Room Department.
  • Performs counts of inventory at least monthly.
  • Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve count room disputes.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all employees under his/her span of control.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.

High school diploma or GED required. Some college course in banking and finance or related are preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate. Some college accounting courses preferred (not required)
