Position Summary
Works under general supervision resolving inmate grievances to determine required level of resolution per SCDC policies.

Pay Grade: 43 Minimum Qualifications
100.00% - 1. One (1) year of experience in case management, social work, or related experience, AND
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, sociology, criminal justice or related field.

3. PROOF OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Duties and Responsibilities
1. Reviews grievances received in the Inmate Grievance Office.

2. Assists in the logging of all grievances in the Inmate Grievance database.

3. Assists in the distribution of grievances to the appropriate respondent.

4. Assists in the review of responses to inmates in a timely manner, as outlined by Inmate Grievance Policy #323.

5. Maintains files on all inmate grievances.

6. Assists in alerting administration of confidential/PREA related grievances.

7. Gathers information for the Grievance Coordinator for monthly reports.

8. Performs other related duties as required or directed. KSA's
KSAs - 1. Knowledge of modern corrections principles and practices and their application.

2. Knowledge of the policies and procedures and regulations of the Division of Corrections.

3. Knowledge of inmate conduct rules and prescribed or appropriate disciplinary actions.

4. Ability to write meaningful reports.

5. Ability to gather and interpret case histories.

6. Ability to research an interpret policies, rules, regulations, administrative decisions relating to inmate due process. Special Requirements
1. Must pass a TB screen and drug examination.

2. Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver"s License or secure one as of date of the medical/physical examination is scheduled.
3. Must be on call and available for various shifts and weekend work. Disclaimer
