Overview:
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $110,000. Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is hiring an Analyst in its US Corporate and Investment Banking NY office to support Coverage Bankers with marketing efforts for both existing and prospective clients, assist with managing client relationships and to generate new business. This role is a secondary point of contact for clients and internal product partners.

- Support Coverage Bankers by:
- Collaborating with product partners to cross-sell corporate and commercial banking products and services and market M&A financing across the capital structure
- Engaging in new client prospecting and assisting in existing managing client relationships (secondary point of contact)
- Supporting execution efforts by reviewing due diligence reports, coordinating processes with clients and internal counterparties and negotiating legal/credit documentation
- Generate innovative ideas and assist in implementing business strategy for the team to up-tier client relationships, client development and maximize profitability.
- Assisting in sector specific and client-related content development
- Provide support to the Transaction execution team in managing the transaction execution process from beginning to closing and particularly in leading the effort to obtain capital allocation approval including modeling transaction and group risk adjusted returns.
- Monitor and evaluate current market trends, collect marketing intelligence, and propose ideas to the team for new opportunities
- 1+ years of experience in a coverage role within investment or corporate banking or relevant financial coverage role
- Experience in Technology sector helpful, but not required
- BA/BA required
- Series 79/63 preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong oral and written skills
