Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is growing! We are looking for an energetic accountant to join our corporate team. We have a culture of teamwork, cooperation with other team members, and a family atmosphere that sets us apart.
Located near downtown Louisville, Denton Floyd is well-capitalized and has a proven record of year over year growth. We are involved in the ownership and management of apartment communities. We also run a successful construction and commercial development division.
This position will be primarily focused on multiple residential apartment complexes in the Kentucky and Indiana area. The position will also provide opportunity for career growth and advancement as the company continues to grow and complete development projects.
Responsibilities include:
-Account reconciliation.
-Calculate and post Management Company revenues.
-Preparation of Financial Statements for Investors/Owners.
-Prepare monthly cash projections for owners
-Prepare monthly MD&A's for internal discussion purposes
-Prepare pay applications for rehab projects as needed.
-Ad hoc work for company President and CFO.

Qualities Desired in Successful Candidate:
-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
-1 year of Accounting experience required; 2+ years of Accounting experience preferred.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
-Good problem-solving and time management skills.
-Highly-organized and detail-oriented.
-Above average organizational skills.
-Hard worker in fast paced environment.
-Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
-Ability to mine financial database for key data.
-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
-Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.
The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate with a solid GPA who is also a self-starter. A successful employee in this role will be well positioned to grow within the Finance Department as the company grows.
