Job Summary

THE POSITION The Coordinator II, Child Welfare and Attendance Unit, Homeless Education, shall provide technical, specialized, consultative, advisory, and planning services in the Division of Student Support Services; plan, organize, develop, recommend, and evaluate programs, processes, and procedures; serve as a resource to school districts and the Office in the assigned area of specialization; conduct special studies and in-services; monitor legislation and provide interpretation and guidance; and perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five or more years of comprehensive, directly related and progressive experience, including three years of administrative experience in the specified field. Education: Equivalent to a Master’s degree in education or closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Teaching Credential website with the document number on it.) 1.) Possess and maintain a valid California Administrative or Supervisory Credential. 2.) A valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential is desirable.
