The Knox Center is presently recruiting a Cook to join our team!

Position Summary This position consists of 40 hours per week, day shifts.
Under the supervision of leadership, the cook is responsible for the preparation and presentation of food production during assigned scheduled hours. The cook will follow standardized recipes and work in a timely and efficient manner. The cook is required to comply with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and follow food production programs and procedures.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• License/Certifications: N/A
• Experience: 1-2 years in institutional cooking preferred.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and sanitation techniques and hospital/department safety practices and policies. ServSafe Certification Prefered.
• Demonstrates organizational and planning skills and willingness to work as a team member.
• Ability to identify new methods or procedures to enhance performance improvement activities, and improve customer satisfaction. Demonstrate willingness to accept new assignments and challenges to enhance career growth/development.
• Complies with performance improvement program, demonstrates effective employee relations.
