Job Description: Cook/Chef position supports De La Salle's Cafeteria and community by being part of a happy, hard-working team serving breakfast, break, and lunch. The work schedule would be from 6:00 am up to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. As a Cook/Chef, the primary responsibilities are to prepare food. When preparing food, you adhere to all food preparation safety standards. In addition to preparing and serving food, duties include restocking and maintaining supplies for the kitchen and cafeteria, and cleaning the kitchen, equipment, and washing dishes. The Cafeteria is staffed only during the school year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Store foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
- Interact with customers.
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must speak fluent English.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
