Overview:

Directs the preparation, seasoning, and cooking duties with an emphasis on the quality and presentation of the food served. Performs general warehousing and storage practices for all incoming supplies used in the Dietary Department. Responsible for the general cleaning and execution of all scheduled cleaning. Performs other additional duties as assigned by the Director or Supervisor. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and Mercy service standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: none
• Preferred Experience: Previous food service, cash register/ money handling, warehousing, and floor care experience.
• Required Education: none
• Preferred Education: High School diploma or GED
• Certifications: none
• Other: Skills, knowledge and abilities: Ability to read, write, and follow instructions, work well with others, be flexible with daily schedule in order to accommodate others. Working conditions, mental and physical requirements: Must be able to stand and/or walk for extensive periods; tolerate extreme cold temperatures for long periods of time. Ability to lift 70 pounds.Equipment used: Cash register, general kitchen equipment, industrial dish washer, vacuums, dolly, computer. People oriented and basic computer skills.
