Job description

To support, improve, develop, research and test electrical components, equipment, and systems on the plant floor in order to meet production needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to plant operations supporting Corporate and plant specification goals.
  • Plan and implement all controls related activities.
  • Supports implementation and installation of new and rebuilt equipment.
  • Continuous improvement of equipment and processes towards improving reliability and technology.
  • Maintains communication with work groups to assure proper implementation of projects.
  • Responsible for IATF16949 documentation requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

Associates Degree in Mechatronics, a related technical field, or equivalent training required.

  • Technical certification with PLC or CNC Controls preferred
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Control Systems
  • 3 plus years of work experience in Controls Technician with plant floor experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing robot programming, or robotic welding

  • Working knowledge of Basic, C and Visual Basic programming
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting and on the plant floor.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
