Pusterla US, Inc. seeks a company leader. The successful candidate for controller will be able to handle day to day accounting functions while operating with the long-term goals of the company in mind. They will show an aversion to mistakes of any size, pride themselves on organization, and be expert at communicating financial data in a clear and concise way both orally and in spreadsheet and written form. Professional experience with cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is essential. Current finance team members are strong and will provide a solid ground for training and understanding.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reports and consolidation of statements for two manufacturing plants using respective ERP systems.

· Prepare project-based variance reports, and track absorption and inventories.

· Oversee accounts payable and receivable clerks/ processing / funding and collections

· Process employee payroll

· Manage employee benefit plans

· Monitor and control cash flow

· Complete bank reconciliations

· Lead, train, and develop 2-3 bookkeeping/accounting/HR team members in 2 locations

· Prepare documents for financial audits, including group-level integration at the international level

· Assist with budget completions and projections

· Analyze and recommend improvements to financial reporting and accounting policy.

· Partner with management to ensure that reporting aligns to their needs and goals.

· Help lead a US-wide transition to Oracle in the upcoming 18-24 months.

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of primary responsibility for preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for a manufacturing company.
  • Significant experience with cost accounting, including project-based variance reporting.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and spreadsheet software programs, including Excel and Access.
  • Commitment to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Experience with multi-site consolidation strongly preferred
  • Experience in ERP transitions an asset

The position is on site Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., but can offer some reasonable flexibility regarding hours and remote work.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
