Construction Company Controller

Washington Or Montana office

Prospect Construction is a regional heavy civil and municipal contractor, seeking a new dynamic team member to become the company’s Controller. We are seeking an experienced Controller who has the strategic leadership skills to assist us in our continued growth throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

This position is an office-based position in either our Puyallup WA or Missoula, MT office.

The Controller will report to the President of the company, and support leadership efforts by advising, aligning, and reporting on all financial functions of the company. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, experience in the Heavy Civil Construction Industry is preferred. Individuals with a CPA are encouraged to apply. Job cost management, project profit projections, subcontractor vendor compliance, contract review, risk management and monthly pay applications is a constant duty. Additional job duties include AP/AR/Payroll oversight and auditing, quarterly bonding, and annual financial statement reviews. Knowledge of computer-based accounting systems and expertise with spreadsheets required.

This job will be ever evolving as Prospect Construction continues to grow and expand into other markets. The duties performed for this role will be strategically aligned with the ownership team’s goals, and therefore planning and implementing necessary changes should be expected. This could include implementing new practices, software’s, and vendor relations, as deemed necessary. Forecasting and planning for company growth, to align with ownership goals, as needed.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
