Controller - Construction
$110K to $130K + Bonus
Our Opportunity
The Controller will lead the day-to-day accounting operations for our expanding East Coast region. This position will play a vital role in aligning operations and the company’s corporate finance team.
Key duties include:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting activities for assigned business groups.
- Establish/reinforce internal control systems.
- Oversee select month-end processes, including bank reconciliations, credit card allocations, fixed assets, and inventory reconciliation.
- Provide job status reporting to operators on a regular basis, and work with corporate controller to compute monthly over/under billing accruals.
- Analyze and interpret financial results and report findings to management.
Ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 8-10+ years progressive accounting experience
- Construction experience preferred
- CPA desired
- Ability to manage staff in different geographic regions
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Regional travel up to 25%
