The Controller’s main responsibility is to direct the accounting operations of the company which includes complying with international financial reporting standards. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Maintaining ownership of all accounting functions within the company to include cash flow management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, WIP accounting, and taxes;
• Producing periodic financial reports, maintaining system of accounting records;
• Maintaining a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk;
• Coordinating and preparing monthly consolidated financial statements timely;
• Coordinating activities of external auditors;
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes;
• Continuously monitoring and improving the internal controls of the company;
• Liaising with overseas HQ to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial information;
• Ensuring accurately reported results comply with international financial reporting standards;
• Hiring, training, managing and coaching skilled accounting staff;
• Ensuring the company is compliant with laws, filing requirements, and accounting standards;
• Actively participating in the new ERP system implementation;
• Protecting the company by keeping relevant information confidential;
• Majority duties of this job require working in an office environment or corporate travel location with occasional travel of <10% within the US, Canada, and/or Europe;
• Other duties may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance;
• Seven (7) years or more of related experience required with at least three (3) years public accounting experience preferred;
• Experience with multiple entity consolidation;
• Experience with Tier 2 ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Accumatica, Intacct, etc.);
• Proficiency with MS Office software (specifically Excel);
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Solution-oriented, meets challenges with resourcefulness and innovation
• Excellent, effective written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical perspective with strong attention to detail skills
• Professional and inclusive demeanor
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a respectful manner

Preferred:

• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation;
• Public Accounting experience;
• Experience with international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
