Job description

We aspire to build an enduring company with a world class brand, known as an extraordinary place to work.

It’s been 12 years since our first batches of unfiltered cider were fermented in the dorms of Bates College, Maine, and while we’ve gained 120 new teammates and 1.3 million cases of tasty drinks - with a growing assortment beyond cider - we remain 100% founder-owned, beyond the reach of the soul-sucking, money-grubbing paws of private equity or strategic corporate partnership. We’re a scrappy team that enjoys the hard work of creating a company because we get to work on fun things with people we like.

We have grown in the past decade from small craft cider company in New England to the best selling Craft Cider in America. With that, we’re expanding beyond Cider, launching products in adjacent segments of the beer market. We’re hiring a Controller to help drive this evolution, and ensure consistent, reliable accounting as we implement an ERP system.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, report, review and provide direction on financial statements.
  • Work with your team to ensure successful ongoing management of ERP system.
  • Drive budget discipline company-wide, while assisting teams in performing ROI analyses.
  • Planning for the business’ financial needs.
  • Manage our accounting team, ensuring a team of A-players.

Ideal Experience:

  • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience within a consumer goods or manufacturing environment. Experience with 3 tier system strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years audit experience
  • Degree in Accounting, CPA strongly preferred

Perks & Benefits:

  • Unlimited paid time off
  • A voice in the direction of the company
  • 401k with company match
  • Health & dental insurance
  • Company provided short term disability
  • Cider allowance (how big is your fridge?)

To apply, please include a one-page characterful cover letter explaining why this post speaks to you. Drop the “to whom it may concern” and give it to us straight - why you?

We like to hire the way we like our cider; unfiltered. With the understanding that we can learn and grow from each other’s differences, we are proud to hire regardless of gender, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, or anything else that makes us who we are.
