Title: Contracts Manager

Location: Hybrid, Corporate Office, San Diego CA

Position Type: Full Time

Affordable Engineering Services (AES) is a Small Business and graduate of the SBA 8(a) program with significant contracts in aviation maintenance and technical support, logistics, and engineering services for US Government customers (DoD and other agencies). We seek a (Senior) Contracts Manager to join our team in San Diego and support our business initiatives and field offices. As a mid-to-senior level Contracting professional with high visibility in our company, you will be responsible to

Duties:

• Draft, negotiate and manage Contracts and Subcontracts, and modifications, in support of all company business initiatives
• Draft, review, and finalize all Agreements in support of the business: Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Consulting/Independent Contractor Agreements, Vendor and supplier orders, and subcontracts
• Support the development of compliant and competitive cost-price proposals
• Support Export compliance, including TAA's Licenses and maintain liaison with DoS.
• Provides cradle-to-grave contract administration support for various CP, FFP, T&M Government contracts including coordination of appropriate internal reviews, contract negotiation, and contract/task order administration and execution.
• Provides contract leadership to integrated program teams and to the Contracts/Procurement Department.
• Identifies and resolves contract issues, risk areas, and implications of emerging performance and contractual issues.
• Prepares and/or reviews contracts, subcontracts, modifications, bids, and invoices for content and accuracy.
• Identifies and resolves proposal issues, bid strategy, risk areas, and implications of emerging contractual issues.
• Examines detailed subcontractor proposals and helps determine if proposed costs are fair and reasonable.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Demonstrated track record in Contracts Management with at least 6-10 years’ experience in federal contracting, including prime contracts and subcontracts
• Working knowledge of the range of Contract types, methods, and techniques
• BA/BS in Business or equivalent
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, able to develop solutions independently or as part of a team
• Experience drafting procurement-related documents following Federal Regulations (FAR, DFARS, Civilian Agency Regulations, DoD 500 Series requirements)
• Working knowledge and track record of drafting and negotiating agreements including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Joint Ventures

Desired qualifications:

• Related Experience in Procurement/Subcontracts, commercial contracting and UCC
• Master’s Degree or Law Degree
• Professional Contracting Certification (CPCM, CFCM, DAIWA or equivalent)
• Secret Clearance (current/active or be able to secure DoD clearance)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
